Test requests in Postman

Set a collection variable named base_site_url to your WordPress site URL without a trailing slash. For a normal installation, a request URL is {{base_site_url}}/wp-json/aam/v2/urls?access_level=visitor.

Set collection authorization to Basic Auth with a WordPress username and application password for a user who has the route’s AAM management capabilities. Keep credentials in a private environment.

For a write request, choose the method shown in the endpoint reference, set Content-Type: application/json, and send registered parameters in the body. For example, the ConfigPress route takes an ini string.

POST /authenticate is a separate logged-out login flow; it does not return an AAM JWT. To test JWT authentication, issue a token through the JWT routes or AAM UI, then use Bearer Token authorization for later requests.
